The NJATC or The National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee Aptitude test refers to the evaluation exam given to those looking to enter into an electrical apprenticeship. NJATC is actually a bit of a misnomer as it is typically provided by the Electric Training Alliance (ETA) which is a subset of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).

Who Will Be Required to Take the NJATC?

What Kind of Questions Are On the NJATC Aptitude Test?

The test contains a total of 69 questions spread over two portions of testing. The first portion, algebra, contains 33 questions. The second portion, reading comprehension, contains the other 36 questions.

Scoring Standards for the NJATC Aptitude Test

The NJATC is scored on a scale of 1 to 9. A third party company is responsible for scoring the assessment and there is no public data on the weight of importance of each section, so studying for the entirety of the test is ideal.

Passing the NJATC can be easily done with the proper prep and mindset. The test only covers mathematics up to the level of Algebra I and high school level reading comprehension.
